Worms Armageddon - A Customizable Artillery Strategy Game...with worms

Have you ever flung a hand grenade through a series of hills and valleys to have it land perfectly in front of your enemies face? Me neither, I usually just drop a giant, concrete donkey onto their heads.

This is a game where players take customized teams, and play on customized maps, with customized load-outs, and customized game modes and rules.

But it usually ends up with players resorting to the big, cartoonish weapons used on piles of player worms for giggles.

But if you want to be a more serious player, you can.

As I mentioned this game is HIGHLY customizable. Which means you can set all sorts of parameters, rules, and even modify game mechanics such as fall damage and jump height.

Which means your load-out can look like this, or this.

Want to play an intense match of 1v1?
Make the movement speed and starting health ridiculously high and play on a big map with throwable weapons only. As a bonus you can make health drops more likely so the game lasts longer and gets particularly intense.

Want to make it a high-stakes shootout? Give each player a team of 8 worms with low health, and no weapons allowed except guns.
Make sure to remove fall damage so there are no embarrassing accidents!

And lastly, my personal favorite, The Jungle.
Small teams of 3 worms with regular health and maxed jumping heights, and only the basic sheep, skunks, cows, and moles can be used. Good luck negotiating the level maps with dumber-than dirt weapons that just don't seem to know where you want them to go. It makes for a silly, non-serious game.

As the last note, i'd like to commend the fine tuned game mechanics. Each and every weapon, utility, and game engine [such as wind and the 'stickiness' of the ground] are so perfect and work so well together that the game is overall a perfectly polished piece of art. Nothing glitches or makes you go 'that was unfair!'. If you mess up, you messed up; you have no one to blame but yourself, because the game is perfectly polished.

But don't take my word for it, see for yourself...
