Sprital Tool
To make a good, clean looking spiral, you are going to want to go ahead and learn how to use the spiral tool.
Lets make a spiral by, first, selecting the Spiral Tool from the Vertical Tool Bar.
After this you can click and drag using the tool to make a spiral. A good way to get specific angles and rotations is to align it with the Polar Grid, which is pictured as a light blue circle grid here.
To increase the line-size of the spiral, go up to the top and type in the desired width.
